Assigned to the 320th Military Police Battalion EPW-(Enemy Prisoner of War), Ashley PA as the S-1 (Personnel-Finance-Medical Officer) in charge of 30-45 soldiers.

Responsible for all scheduling and training to include: work schedules, personal and annual leave, daily operations, instructing and training for 30-45 soldiers.

The 320th Military Police Battalion has the only EPW Camp Reserve unit in the country. I was responsible for reviewing/ re-writing/ upgrading all the Standard Operating Procedures SOP’s for United States Army EPW camps worldwide.

In 1999 I traveled to South Korea for two weeks as part of Operation Foal Eagle where I visited regular Army units to train them to set up and manage EPW camps for future use.

Assigned to the 320th Military Police Battalion (EPW), Ashley, PA as the S-2

(Battalion Intelligence Officer). I collected, analyzed and disseminated intelligence. I performed functions as the unit physical security officer, information security officer and personnel security officer. I ensured the proper storage of classified material and was responsible for maintaining the security clearances for in excess of 100 unit personnel.

Attended the Military Police Officer Basic Course, February–June 1996 at Ft.

McClellan, Alabama. I participated in various weapons training, land navigation courses, patrols via foot and vehicle and conducted Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) training.

Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Gaming Enforcement-Unit Supervisor

Mohegan Sun Casino- October 2016-April 2017

Being a State Police Supervisor assigned to a barracks within a Casino presents a unique opportunity to work with the public and employees both inside and outside of the casino and any issues that required State Police attention while ensuring the nearly thirty million ($30,000,000.00) dollars of on hand cash is protected. This environment tests your ability to use different approaches with people to get an acceptable outcome.

Incidents included intoxicated individuals, thefts, disorderly conducts, assaults, rapes among other varied crimes. Assisted with security at multiple events, concerts and celebrity appearances.

Mount Airy Casino Resort-April 2013-October 2016

As a Corporal stationed within the casino and shift supervisor in charge of several Troopers at any given time. Responsible for training new Troopers upon their assignment to the casino and supervising/working with them on changing shifts. Assisted with scheduling the Troopers and completed yearly Employee Performance Reviews for assigned Troopers.

Patrol Unit Supervisor, Responsible for the daily operation of a State Police Patrol Unit and the running of a shift. Bureau of Criminal Investigation- Financial Investigation/Asset Forfeiture Officer 2003-2008

Conducted more than one hundred Financial Investigations/Money Laundering investigations Statewide over a period of five years.

-Intelligence Currency Validation Network-Researched and implemented the first and only operating state law enforcement network in the nation for the FI/AF unit. Responsible for assisting in the design and implementation of this program which was this program at the 2007 Bureau of Criminal Investigation conference. Once the State Police went to this system, I was responsible for the implementation and training of all PSP Members who would be involved with this dynamic cash tracking and counting technology. This included writing lesson plans and preparing slide show and PowerPoint presentations to assist with the training.

Pennsylvania State Police Instructor-Asset Forfeiture/Financial Investigations ICVN Cash Tracking system- Operation SHIELD (Safe Highways Initiative through Effective Law Enforcement and Detection)

Built and maintained close working relationships with agents and officers from agencies such as the DEA, FBI, HIDTA, ICE, PA State Attorney General’s Office, New York State Police and other various police agencies and local drug task forces.

The first ever FI/AF trooper to assist in a money laundering investigation within a Pennsylvania Casino using the ICVN equipment to record, track and hit on serial numbers of Undercover Drug buy money used by vice units and also seized currency.

Responding to incidents and preparing reports to include investigating hundreds of traffic accidents and issuing thousands of Traffic Violation Citations and Warning notices for Vehicle Code infractions.

Patrol Trooper, Troop R, Blooming Grove 1998-2001- Responsible for patrolling a County within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Responding to incidents and preparing reports to include investigating hundreds of traffic accidents and issuing thousands of Traffic Violation Citations and Warning notices for Vehicle Code infractions.

Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Organized Crime Unit 1996-1998 – In an undercover capacity this position required the surveillance of disputed Organized Crime Figures to covertly follow, document and identify their dealings, whereabouts and associates.

Criminal Investigator, Troop R Blooming Grove 1992-1996 – Responsible for conducting detailed criminal investigations to include Rape, Robbery, Child Molestation and Homicide. Received a Troop Letter of Commendation for a large financial investigation of a home/property scam that resulted in the arrest of individuals involved.

Executive Protection Assignments –

Selected and worked Executive Protection Detail for Pope Francis’s visit to Philadelphia PA September 2015.

Selected and worked Executive Protection Detail Democratic National Convention Philadelphia, PA July 23-30, 2016. Assigned to then Governor Maggie HASSAN, New Hampshire, for the duration of her stay at the Democratic National Convention. Supervised two additional Troopers assigned to the Governor and coordinated with her personal New Hampshire State Police detail.

Undercover / Covert Operations assignments- In early 2000’s, I was a senior undercover operative working a highly covert, multi-state, homeland security investigation. This investigation was of such a sensitive nature, it was known only to the Commissioner, and three other high ranking Pennsylvania State Police members. As part of this assignment and investigation I had to maintain a total covert, fictitious identity to include photo identification-driver’s license and a financial history. During this investigation it was necessary to constantly travel out of state and attended meetings and social gatherings up and down the East Coast.

2001-2014 – During a fourteen year period I continuously worked in an undercover / plain clothes capacity assigned yearly to Vice Detail at the Penn State Arts Festival where I identified and arrested multiple underage drinking violation as well as several illegal drug possession and use violations.

Pennsylvania State Police Commissioners Letter of Commendation – Asset Forfeiture investigation of Money Laundering in a Casino using Cash Tracking Equipment.

Pennsylvania State Police Erick Frein Search and Apprehension - Recognized for organizing a tactical feed donating 1000 Steak Dinners and deploying into the heart of the Search Zone to cook for the men and women in the field during the manhunt.

Hazleton Police Department Operation Road Runner – Assisted the HPD by uncovered, organized and spearheaded a multi jurisdictional Federal, State and Local task force targeting Human Trafficking, Identity Theft, False Pennsylvania Drivers license. Touted as the Largest Welfare Fraud in the History of Pennsylvania, this investigation spans 19 different States and two countries. As of June 2015 Federal Grand Jury indicted the two ring leaders and 18 of their associates. Investigation via Homeland Security Investigations / IRS is currently ongoing and confidential. (The Pennsylvania Department of Welfare and Office of Inspector General continue to refuse to investigate)

Personal Readiness / Preparedness-

2014 to present – Currently hold a Black Belt who continues to study Goju Ryu style karate at Mountain Valley Family Martial Arts Academy (MVFMAA). I am working toward my second degree blackbelt. This type of Karate focuses on Empty hand, hand-to-hand combat techniques as well as ancient weapons of the martial arts to include the Nunchakus and Bo staff.

As a senior belt in the Adult Class of MVFMAA I often am tasked with instructing the younger students in the art of Karate.
